The shopping destination Tempe Marketplace is inviting guests to special events, activations and performances planned throughout the rest of the year.

“Tempe Marketplace has so much to offer guests this holiday season and we are excited to bring the community together as we host a variety of new and festive events on property,” says Heather Edge, marketing director of Tempe Marketplace. “While you’re checking off your Christmas shopping list, get in the holiday spirit with us at Tempe Marketplace.”

Here is a rundown of Tempe Marketplace holiday events:

  • Annual Holiday Tree Lighting: From 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, in the District Street will come to life with the lighting of Tempe Marketplace’s brand new 50-foot Christmas tree. Tempe Marketplace’s Annual tree lighting is a family-friendly night for all to enjoy with live snowfall, appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and musical performances of “Scrooge! The Musical,” from Arizona Theatre Company, the ‘Jingle Belles’ Group as well as the LED Toy Soldier drumline, ‘BOOM!’. Guests 21+ can participate in the Sip & Stroll program and walk the property with cocktails and spirits from participating tenants including Dave & Buster’s mobile bar. Customer favorite, Cinnaholic, will be serving their signature cinnamon rolls, and a free hot chocolate to the first 500 customers, while supplies last.
  • 12 Days of Snowfall: From Dec. 13 through Christmas Eve, guests can gather to experience live snowfall with two shows every day at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Make your very own snowmen and snow angels and enjoy the magic of snow in the desert at Tempe Marketplace.
  • Naughty or Nice Pop-Up Art Installation: All season long, stroll through The District for décor that will get anyone in the holiday spirit. Enjoy photo ops including a Naughty or Nice backdrop featuring The Grinch.
  • Community Performances: Watch live performances throughout November and December at the District Stage with tributes to your favorite holiday classics, including appearances from The Arizona Nutcracker Ballet, Mesa Community College, Starz Dance School, local musician, and Logan Brown.
  • Sip & Stroll: Put a holiday spin on your Sip & Stroll experience this winter. On select dates, enjoy cocktails from the mobile bar set up in The District Street for the live snowfall shows from Dec. 13-24 and experience all the new holiday décor, music, and snow.
