Explore the State of Chihuahua through food and culture at downtown Phoenix event

The Spirits of Mexico Culture & Tourism Fest is coming to Heritage Square in Downtown Phoenix from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, and from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3.
Heritage Square is in downtown Phoenix at 113 N. Sixth St.
The event promises to connect the audience with Mexico’s culture, flavors, and traditions while promoting sustainable international tourism within Mexico, event promoters say.
Guests can enjoy agave spirits Tequila & Mezcal + Sotol, an emerging spirit from the Chihuahua Desert, as well as many other tequila, mezcal, and sotol spirits. The event will also feature live entertainment including a Mariachi band, Ballet Folklorico, and fine art from Mata Ortiz pottery, according to a press release.
The event will be put on by Imex Live Events, a woman-owned, local small business whose mission is to bring Mexican culture, sustainable tourism and traditions to others interested in exploring Mexico, the release states.
“The Spirits of Mexico Cultural & Tourism event is a great opportunity for Phoenix to get a taste of the beautiful culture in Chihuahua, Mexico,” said Yazmin Quezada, founder of Imex Events. “We hope this event encourages people to visit Chihuahua and promotes international tourism.”
