Scottsdale continues to maintain the steadfast reputation as a beautiful, safe, clean and health-driven, world-class community that has been strengthened with David Ortega serving as mayor of the community.
Mayor Ortega focuses on supporting public safety, protecting family-friendly neighborhoods, defending Scottsdale Water resources, reinvesting in the local vibrant Western legacy, and promoting citywide, sustainable economic vitality.
These are the hallmarks of his first three years as mayor, representatives of his campaign tell the Arizona Digital Free Press.
Long-time advocate for equality, Mayor Ortega led the passage of the LGBTQ anti-discrimination ordinance adopted unanimously by Scottsdale City Council to ensure that Scottsdale remains a livable and economically vibrant city that excels in hospitality and tourism.
Paul Messinger, notable former Arizona Legislator and past Scottsdale councilman, gives his endorsement of the current mayor of Scottsdale.
“Mayor Dave Ortega is the right mayor at the right time for Scottsdale,” he said in a prepared statement.
Mayor Ortega says he plans to maintain the high quality of life enjoyed by all who call Scottsdale home.
“As mayor, my record is clear and consistent,” Mayor Ortega said. “Scottsdale Police and Fire Departments and all city services will have the tools, training and trust to protect and serve our neighborhoods, business districts, public facilities, and parks, which we and our four-legged friends love in our world-renowned city.”
Mayor Ortega says he remains committed to serving the community of Scottsdale well.
“As a full-time mayor, architect and independent leader, and 45-year resident of Scottsdale, I pledge, every day, to continue to build upon our success,” he said of his resolve.
