The Identity Sports Podcast — a digital program blending faith and sports — features top athletes from around the country who share their journey of faith and aims to reach sports fans of all ages with uplifting content and personal stories of inspiration.

Episodes cover a variety of themes such as sports, faith, mental health, and tips on becoming a better athlete while living out one’s faith in sport, representatives of the brand tell the Digital Free Press.

“Every kid has a sports hero they look up to. They idolize and model their game after them. We wanted to provide a positive outlet for kids to see their favorite athletes in a different light, talking about their true identity,” said Zach Vogel, executive director of Identity Sports, in a prepared statement.

“We felt the call to do more, to become a global hub for faith-based inspiration in the sports community.”

Notable Identity Sports partnerships and guests include:
  • Scottie Scheffler: #1 golfer in the world with 12 career wins on the PGA Tour.
  • Geremy Davis: Played in the NFL for 6 years with the Chargers, Lions and Giants. He now runs Golf and Gospel which is a YouTube channel of athletes playing golf and sharing about Jesus.

The new Identity Sports podcast is a natural extension of Identity Sports’ mission to inspire millions around the world with the message of Jesus Christ.

“We wanted to reach the youth with uplifting content and stories in the mediums that they consume their media. It also provides a platform for athletes to share their faith,” Mr. Vogel said. “The podcast takes our live events and short-form digital content further. It allows us to dive deeper one-on-one to understand the athlete’s journey in faith and sport and share tips on how to apply these learnings to our lives.”

Looking ahead to 2025, the organization has planned several major events, including Tales From The Tour during the WM Phoenix Open and Tales From The Dugout during Cactus League play for spring training.

“Our goal is to become a global hub for sports fans and athletes alike to find inspiration in their sport and their faith,” Mr. Vogel said. “We expect to build off our success and expand to more sports and cities with our events and content.”
