The Golden Bean awarded PRESS Coffee’s Ethiopia Decaf coffee a gold medal in the retail category, and PRESS Coffee’s allocation coffee sourced from the roastery’s Panama farm won a silver medal in the Elite category.
“It’s such an honor for our coffees to be recognized by this industry-respected panel of professionals and coffee artisans, and we hope to continue to wow customers here in Phoenix and worldwide with our imaginative specialty offerings,” said Andrew Robertson, director of retail at PRESS Coffee.
PRESS Coffee is now offering a curated bundle of its Golden Bean award-winning products, available for purchase via its online store.
The bundle will contain PRESS’ Ethiopia Decaf, the Panama Gesha Estate blend, as well as the following bronze medal winners: Bloom, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Guatemala Palencia, Peru Isaias Poma Tello, and Twitch Espresso coffee bags. The bundle is customizable to a customer’s tastes, and shoppers can choose to add or remove products as well as select the quantity for each bag of coffee.
The Golden Bean is the world’s largest coffee roasting competition with peer-voted awards categorized by region. Founded in 2004, the awards were previously hosted in Australia but are now held in the United States. PRESS Coffee competed in the Americas bracket, encompassing North and South American roasteries. Coffees this year were sampled and selected by a board of 11 judges.
Since its creation, the Golden Bean has judged over 30,000 coffees, and judges range from roasters or professionals from the coffee industry who pass the Golden Bean Calibration process with head judges prior to the event.
