Plaza Companies has added to its organizational strength by adding and promoting members of its property & facilities management team, officials there say.

The company has promoted Scott Rubin to executive managing director of asset management, where he will oversee the property & facilities management team. Mr. Rubin has been with the Plaza Companies for more than 15 years, and currently serves as a member of the company’s executive counsel.

Mr. Rubin’s current portfolio of assets he oversees consists primarily of Class A Office and Medical Office properties and includes over 1.5 million square feet of space. He is also responsible for the underwriting and asset management decisions for Plaza Companies-owned properties.

“Scott has been an important part of the Plaza team for many years, and we are excited for him to take on this position,” said Sharon Harper, chairman and CEO of Plaza Companies. “He has shown an exceptional ability to meet the needs of our clients and partners, and we are thrilled to have him take on an expanded role in the company.”

Additionally, Plaza Companies has added more bench strength to its property management team, highlighted by the hiring of Ernie Jackson as director of property and facilities services, a role in which he oversees the company’s efforts with regard to third-party real estate and building services operations while serving as a hands-on senior property manager for new portfolios.

Mr. Jackson previously served in property management with several firms in the Phoenix and Denver markets. He is a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association and was named Denver Principal Member of the Year in 2011. Ernie also has earned the Real Property Administrator and Facility Manager Administrator from the Building Owner and Managers Institute.

Additionally, the Property & Facilities Management Team experienced three other changes:

  • Jeanette Socaciu was promoted to associate director of property and facility services, a role that oversees a large portion of the Plaza property management portfolio. She has been a leader at Plaza for more than 20 years in total and her abilities are lauded by many long-time Plaza clients and partners.
  • Ra-Anne Ilang joined Plaza as a Property Manager, after previously serving in property management roles with some of the most highly recognized building owners and REITs in Arizona.
  • Astrid Payan was promoted to property manager, after serving as an assistant property manager for the company.

“We’re very excited about the growth of our Property & Facilities Management team,” Mr. Rubin said in a press release. “As our property management portfolio continues to grow, these additions and promotions will help us provide an enhanced level of service at each facility we manage.”

Plaza Companies’ portfolio features numerous high-profile projects including SkySong, The ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, Park Central, VI Living Communities and the TGen Building, among others.
