The MJ Companies hosted local families at the Phoenix Zoo as part of its MJ Foundation fundraiser on Jan. 13.
In partnership with Valley of the Sun United Way and Phoenix Zoo, the MJ Foundation raised more than $45,000, according to a press release.
A portion of these funds were used to host families supported by Valley of the Sun United Way for a day of fun at the zoo.
Nearly 550 guests attended and spent the day enjoying the animals, time with family, and the sunshine, the release states.
“The MJ Companies exists to inspire the success, fulfillment, and wellbeing of our associates and their families, business partners, clients, and our community,” said Michael H. Bill, CEO of The MJ Companies and Founder of The MJ Foundation.
“Being able to provide these families with a fun-filled day—there is nothing more rewarding than that. We’re grateful to be able to host a fundraiser and make an impact simultaneously, and we are incredibly thankful for partners like Phoenix Zoo and Valley of the Sun United Way who share our same belief in the power of coming together as an intentional, active force for good.”
The funds raised will be further used to award grants and support local organizations in alignment with the four cornerstones of the MJ Foundation mission: overcoming poverty, advancing education, fostering diversity and embracing humanity.
