The Arizona NonProfit Awards announces its official launch as a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and empowering nonprofits across the state.
Inspired by a love for philanthropy and fueled by years of experience in corporate marketing, valley mom Elizabeth Santa Cruz founded ANPA to amplify the impact of nonprofits and celebrate their invaluable contributions to Arizona’s communities, according to a press release.
“There are many fantastic awards programs throughout AZ, but nothing focused on the diverse and important work of our local nonprofit organizations,” said Ms. Santa Cruz. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible value that nonprofits bring to their communities – and I’ve also seen how difficult it can be for them to gain the resources and recognition they deserve. ANPA is my way of bringing visibility and support to them all over Arizona.”
ANPA’s mission is rooted in collaboration and innovation. Drawing on principles from philanthropist Dan Pallotta’s advocacy for sustainable funding and modern approaches to nonprofit management, ANPA aims to provide nonprofits with the recognition, tools, and resources.
Through an annual awards gala, ANPA will celebrate organizations of all sizes and causes, awarding cash prizes to winners – with a goal of paying forward over $50,000 to the local nonprofit community in its first year, the release states.
To get all of this rolling, ANPA is currently seeking their Founding Title Sponsor and community partners.
“This is a unique opportunity to be a founding partner of what will quickly become an important Arizona nonprofit initiative,” Ms. Santa Cruz said.
The first Arizona NonProfit Awards Gala is planned for late 2025, with nominations opening soon.
