Phoenix Valley Mothers of Multiples, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing support and education for Valley families with twins and more, is seeking donations from local businesses for the group’s silent auction fundraiser.
PVMOM was founded in 1984 and provides workshops for mothers of multiples on various topics on child raising, activities for children of all ages and events focused on fostering relationships between families experiencing life with multiple children, according to a press release.
The group has members from across the Valley with more than 230 moms of multiples and growing, the release states.
“As a first-time mom with 1-year-old twins, being a member of PVMOM has been a source of support, education and camaraderie with other mothers and families that understand the joys and challenges experienced by families with multiples,” said Fundraising Co-Chair Katie Dill.
“The group’s fundraiser auction will take place April 8 and we are asking for donations such as goods or gift certificates to help raise funds for our organization,” said Ms. Dill. “All donations will be showcased at our auction and via social media to recognize the local and national businesses that support PVMOM.”
Donations are tax deductible, she added. Proceeds from group’s fundraiser auction will go toward continuing to build and expand the PVMOM community with the hope of reaching and helping as many moms of multiples as possible.
“PVMOM is a very diverse group and is successful through the generosity of businesses that support our mission and cause. As an organization, we always strive to promote and patronize the companies that support our group,” Ms. Dill said.
Auction items will go live on April 5, with bidding closing during the fundraising event at the Windgate Ranch Outdoor Living Room in Scottsdale from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 8.
