Mike Pelton to serve as community relations director at Fountain Hills Town Hall

The Town of Fountain Hills is naming Mike Pelton as its public information officer and community relations director.
Mr. Pelton is overseeing the town’s media relations, community engagement, social media channels, and other strategic communications initiatives, according to a press release.
“I’m excited to join the team and find creative ways to engage our residents, build trust, and showcase the incredible work happening every day to make and keep this community special,” Mr. Pelton said in the release.
Mr. Pelton joins Fountain Hills after serving in a similar role at the Pinal County Attorney’s Office since 2021. A familiar face around the Valley, he is a former Emmy Award-winning journalist with ABC15, where he covered major breaking news, crime, and community issues.
Mr. Pelton spent more than a decade in television, working in medium and major markets, including Indianapolis, San Francisco, and Phoenix.
“We’re excited to welcome Mike to the Town of Fountain Hills,” said Town Manager Rachael Goodwin, in a prepared statement. “His experience and dedication to effective community communication will be invaluable as we expand our event calendar and continue to showcase Fountain Hills as a destination for natural beauty, art, travel, and more. We look forward to the positive impact he will bring to our team and community.”
