Kasai Japanese Steakhouse is presenting the Fire & Fairways Charity Golf Tournament June 5 at the Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club.

Golfers will compete for prizes while supporting Arizonans for Children, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization helping Arizona’s abused, neglected and abandoned children since 2002.

“Kasai is eager to help make a difference for Arizona’s foster children,” said Kasai Japanese Steakhouse owner Mike Russello. “In 2022, we raised more than $10,000 after costs, and we hope to continue to make a greater impact for our state’s most vulnerable populations.”

The Fire & Fairways Charity Tournament will have a variety of events including eight hole-in-one contests for prizes such as a two-year Cadillac lease from Coulter Cadillac; golf trip to Pebble Beach; trip for two to the 2023 Ryder’s Cup in Rome, Italy; $10,000 cash, and more, event promoters say.

A 50-foot putting contest for $5,000, helicopter ball drop contest sponsored by EdKey.org, golf ball launcher, and Integra Golf par 3 event, roundout the event.

At 7:30 a.m., a helicopter will drop hundreds of numbered golf balls over the chipping area. The three golf balls in or closest to the hole will win a great prize. The ball drop will be the official start of the tournament. There will photo opportunities, beverage stations, and bar carts during the event.

After the tournament, players can head to Kasai for the complimentary tournament luncheon that will include teppanyaki, sushi, cocktails, raffles, and prizes. Those who choose not to participate in the tournament can enjoy the luncheon by purchasing tickets online for $40, or $50 the day of the event. Guest tickets receive buffet luncheon, drink ticket, and raffle ticket starting at 12:30.

Registration is now open for a rate of $160 through April 30. A regular rate of $175 will be available from May 1 to May 31. The Slow Roller rate of $225 will be available from June 1 to June 5. Sign-in for the event will begin at 6:30 a.m.
