Greystar is pre-leasing for Azur, its newest luxury apartment community located in Phoenix’s emerging CityNorth urban core.
Azur will feature 348 apartment homes across seven floors and 13 floor plans, according to a press release.
The first 100 residences and community amenities are scheduled to open for move-ins in January. The first 20 residents will receive Founder’s Club offerings valued at more than $500, the release states.
Found at 20700 N. 55th St., Azur is part of a master-planned district expected to bring more than 3,400 apartment units, 2 million square feet of Class A office space, 1,000 hotel rooms and a variety of restaurants to the Desert Ridge area.
“Azur reflects our commitment to elevated living in Desert Ridge,” said Billy Cundiff, Greystar Desert managing director for development. “Our goal is to deliver a community where residents enjoy exceptional amenities, modern design and the convenience of living in one of Phoenix’s most desirable neighborhoods.”
Azur was developed with proximity to major Valley employers in mind, including the Mayo Clinic, American Express, Avnet and Republic Services.
“We designed this building to meet the growing housing demand from local employers,” said Jorge Piña, managing partner at SofMac Partners, Azur’s equity partner. “The quality of finishes and expansive resort-style amenities are a perfect fit for their discerning employees.”
The name Azur is inspired by azurite, a vivid gemstone found in copper-rich states like Arizona, known for its calming and balancing qualities. The community aims to reflect those attributes through its design and amenities, which include views of the McDowell Mountains.
Azur offers one- and two-bedroom residences ranging from 621- to 1,419-square-feet. Select two-bedroom units will feature 2.5 bathrooms — unique for the area.
