GiGi’s Ranch Gala supports operations at Playhouse Phoenix

GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix, a one-of-a-kind achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome — is hosting the 10th annual GiGi’s Ranch Gala will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20.
All proceeds will support the nonprofit’s mission to serve over 1,000 families with a Down syndrome diagnosis by providing free educational and therapeutic programs that advance literacy, math, and motor skills, according to a press release.
Each year, GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix provides 12,000 hours of programs to families in the Valley at no cost, the release states.
“At GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix, we aim to empower individuals with Down syndrome. As a 90% volunteer-run organization, we rely upon the community’s generosity to accomplish this goal,” said Robin Lea-Amos, executive director at GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix. “The Valley’s continued support of GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix enables us to provide individuals with Down syndrome the resources they need to thrive.”
Attendees are encouraged to dust off their boots and ballgowns for a western-themed evening at Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia, nestled at the base of Camelback Mountain.
A live auction will be performed by Letitia Fry and will include:
- Original artwork by Evan Struk,
- A private in-home dinner with chef Mark Candelaria; and
- A hand-painted Louis Vuitton handbag by Niki Woehler.
The night will also include engaging speeches by program participants and GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix Founder Jennifer Gage.
The event will be emceed by Emmy award winning journalist Carey Pena. The festivities will continue with live performances by Rob West and the Herndon Brothers Band, great photo opportunities, and dinner crafted by the resort’s talented culinary team.
