From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. United Food Bank officials Wednesday, Dec. 20, will support Arizona families with its annual Christmas food distribution returning to the Mesa Convention Center.
This distribution will provide residents in the East Valley will all items needed to prepare a Christmas meal for their families. There will be a variety of nutritious holiday food items including hams, produce boxes and other food items for a traditional holiday meal.
The Christmas food distribution will be conducted as a drive-thru where individuals can fill their empty vehicle trunk with meals for themselves and family members. Walk-up service is available to those without vehicles, and volunteers will be available on-site to assist in pick-up and distribution.
“This distribution is a chance for us to reach out into the community every year and make a difference in people’s lives, especially in the spirit of giving during the holiday festivities that come this time of year,” said Jason Reed, CEO of United Food Bank. “Everyone deserves a warm, healthy and delicious meal to enjoy during the holidays. When we connect with those who are struggling to achieve that, this distribution gives them one less thing to worry about.”
United Food Bank officials continue to work diligently to fill these needs and ensure that individuals and families have the food they need for the approaching holiday season.
