Children’s Miracle Network announced the launch of the Health for All Kids Impact Pledge, a national fundraising initiative aimed at supporting pediatric health care amid financial strain on children’s hospitals.

The $1 billion, two‑year initiative will launch in three cities, including Phoenix, with Phoenix Children’s selected as a partner hospital, according to a press release.

Children’s Miracle Network has raised nearly $10 billion for its network of 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada since its founding in 1983. The organization said the new pledge is designed to expand unrestricted philanthropic support for pediatric hospitals.

“Phoenix Children’s is proud to be part of CMN. The Impact Pledge is a powerful call to action at a critical moment for pediatric care,” Steve Schnall, executive vice president and chief development, marketing and communications officer of the Phoenix Children’s Foundation, said.

“We’re honored Phoenix Children’s was selected as a launch city, and we’re ready to put these local, unrestricted funds to work—advancing leading‑edge research and technology, expanding access to specialized care, and strengthening programs that support families when they need us most.”

Children’s Miracle Network distributes funding directly to local children’s hospitals in the communities where donations are raised. The organization provides unrestricted funding, allowing hospitals to prioritize resources for research, technology, patient support programs and other immediate needs.

“In today’s healthcare landscape, children’s hospitals have to do more with less at a time when kids’ healthcare needs are becoming more complex and more urgent,” Dr. Aimee J. Daily said. “The Impact Pledge demonstrates our expanded commitment to participate in the solution and invites communities to join our movement to ensure kids have the best possible chance for happy, healthy futures,” Dr. Daily said. Dr. Daily is president and chief executive officer of Children’s Miracle Network.

“As we launch The Impact Pledge, we chose to begin in a community that truly reflects the strength of our collaborative partnership,” Dr. Daily said, referencing Phoenix Children’s role as a launch partner.

In New York City from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, the organization marked the launch of its updated mission with a Balloon Signal of Support event. The event featured a drone display of 300 illuminated balloons revealing the organization’s updated logo mark against the Manhattan skyline.

“The balloon serves as a symbol for children’s health and a representation of the organization’s commitment to elevate what’s possible in children’s healthcare through the power of its network,” Dr. Daily said. “In addition to the pledge, our new positioning will bring clarity and attention to the urgent need to raise funds for children’s health.”

Children’s Miracle Network is encouraging community members nationwide to participate in the Health for All Kids Impact Pledge through donations and public engagement efforts.
