Risas Dental and Braces, a local dental care provider with a mission to change the way dentistry is offered, are a finalist for AZ Big Media’s Champions of Change Awards as the ‘Healthcare Organization of the Year.’

The award honors dynamic innovators and trailblazers that are changing Arizona’s business landscape through leadership, visionary thinking, and property-homes, according to a press release.

Founded in 2011, Risas Dental and Braces is on a lifelong mission to transform the way dentistry is offered in the United States. The dental provider puts its mission into action by offering many benefits and programs to the communities they serve, representatives there say.

“Our team is composed of individuals who believe in putting patients before profit and extending compassion to everyone who walks through our doors,” said Jeff Adams, CEO of Risas Dental and Braces. “To be recognized as a finalist for this award is further acknowledgment that by putting our mission first, we are changing the dental industry one smile at a time.”

Risas offers flexible payment plans and services that are 30-40% lower than the industry average prices, the release states.

Risas offices are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to help patients find a time that works for their busy schedules.

Philanthropy is at the heart of Risas Dental’s culture through their ‘Give to Grow’ program. The company’s charitable efforts have provided over $9 million in free dental care. Their signature event, ‘Labor of Love,’ has become a beloved tradition and helps residents receive free dental care services they may not have afforded otherwise.

In 2021, Labor of Love provided $500,000 in free treatment and over $680,000 in 2022, serving over 1,500 patients each year.
