Arizona Center for Cancer Care has appointed David Price as its new chief executive officer, bringing more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience to the physician-owned oncology practice.
Price most recently served as senior vice president and chief growth officer at HonorHealth and previously held leadership roles with Banner Health, according to a press release.
“David is a highly respected healthcare executive with a proven ability to build strong relationships, guide organizational growth and help healthcare teams expand access to high-quality care,” said Dr. Christopher Biggs, chief managing officer of Arizona Center for Cancer Care. “His collaborative leadership style, knowledge of Arizona’s healthcare landscape and familiarity with our organization make him exceptionally well positioned to lead AZCCC into its next chapter.”
Arizona Center for Cancer Care, a multispecialty oncology practice, said Price’s experience in strategic growth, clinical operations and organizational leadership will help guide the organization as it continues to expand cancer care services throughout Arizona.
“I am very honored and excited to join the AZCCC team,” Mr. Price said. “I have had the privilege of serving on the Management Executive Committee for the last five years and have the utmost admiration and respect for AZCCC’s physicians, leaders and staff. Mr. Price holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Minnesota. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business management from Brigham Young University.
In addition to his professional experience, Price brings a personal connection to the organization’s mission. His wife is a pediatric cancer survivor, an experience that Arizona Center for Cancer Care said has given him a deeper appreciation for the impact of cancer care on patients and families, according to a press release.
Arizona Center for Cancer Care said the leadership transition comes as the organization continues efforts to expand access to cancer treatment and support services across the state.
