The Arizona Fall League will return to Scottsdale Stadium this fall, giving baseball fans an opportunity to watch many of the sport’s top prospects before they reach the major leagues.
The league will run from Saturday, Oct. 3, through Thursday, Nov. 12, at six ballparks across the Valley, with Scottsdale Stadium hosting 15 Scottsdale Scorpions home games, according to a press release.
This year’s roster features prospects from the San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays. Tickets are $14, plus fees.
“Fall baseball is a great reason to catch a game in Scottsdale,” City Manager Greg Caton said. “Fans can watch some of the game’s most promising young players, then enjoy the restaurants, shops and galleries just steps from the stadium. We’re excited to welcome them and help them discover more of Old Town.”
Found at 7408 E. Osborn Road, Scottsdale Stadium serves as the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants and hosts sporting events, community gatherings, private events and corporate functions throughout the year.
Its location in Old Town Scottsdale places visitors within walking distance of restaurants, shops, galleries and other attractions.
