Kidder Mathews has been selected to provide leasing and property management services for The Cotton Center portfolio in Phoenix, which totals 1,019,347 square feet across 13 buildings in the Southeast Valley. The firm will manage and lease the portfolio on behalf of Trigild, the court-appointed receiver.
The portfolio includes 13 flex, office and industrial buildings within The Cotton Center, one of Arizona’s largest business parks. Currently, 356,679 square feet are available for lease, with leasing activity underway, according to a press release.
Kidder Mathews Executive Vice President Dave Carder, Senior Vice President Chris Jantz, Senior Vice President Scott Isacksen and Vice President Kurt Kerner will lead the leasing assignment. The team will focus on increasing occupancy and positioning the properties for long-term stability, including a rebranding of the portfolio.
Peggy R. Maxwell, senior vice president and market leader for Kidder Mathews’ asset services division in Arizona, will oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of the portfolio. Her responsibilities include property management, financial reporting, lease administration, vendor coordination and capital planning, working closely with the leasing team and ownership to ensure consistency across the properties.
The integrated leasing and management approach is intended to streamline operations and improve the tenant experience throughout the portfolio.
“The Valley continues to see strong demand from companies seeking flexible space options that combine office and industrial functionality,” Mr. Carder said. “Our focus will be on strategic leasing, responsive management and positioning the portfolio to capture that demand.”
Kidder Mathews manages more than 54 million square feet of commercial property across the western United States, with a growing presence in Arizona through office and industrial assignments.
“This is a well-located portfolio with solid fundamentals in one of the most active markets in the region,” Ms. Maxwell, who serves as senior vice president and market leader for Kidder Mathews’ asset services in Arizona, said. “By aligning leasing and property management under one platform, we can implement a cohesive strategy that improves operations, supports tenants and drives long-term performance.”
