Staff Reports | Happenings & Events
Prepare for an unforgettable evening of humor and rapid-fire brilliance as the Scottsdale School of Film+Theatre at Scottsdale Community College as the local educational institution presents “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).”
This internationally celebrated production — lauded as London’s longest-running comedy — packs in all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays into just 100 hilarious minutes, performed by three versatile and dynamic actors, according to a press release.
Directed by SCC’s head of performance, Don K. Williams, this production is a fast-paced tour of Shakespeare’s work.
“For those who love Shakespeare or remember it as torture from your freshman English class, ‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare…Abridged’ is the perfect show. This play is such a crazy, funny, silly ride through ‘all’ of Shakespeare’s plays.”
Through swift dialogue, physical comedy, and clever interpretations, the play masterfully condenses Shakespeare’s monumental body of work into a single side-splitting performance. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of the Bard or new to his timeless stories, this production will have you laughing and marveling at the genius of his words and the skill of the three characters – Adam, Daniel, and Jess.
