In early January a collection of 17 stallions were placed throughout local corners of Scottsdale by The Rotary Club of Scottsdale as part of its “Stallion Stampede,” an interactive fundraiser connecting the equestrian community, the arts and local businesses together for a philanthropic pursuit.
The sponsors of three of those stallions — named Ransom, Ssequin II and Stardom Sky — will be donating 50% of the proceeds from each winning bid to the Phoenix Heart Ball and its beneficiary, the American Heart Association of Arizona, according to a press release.

“We are so grateful to Barrett Jackson Charities, Lee Courtney Luxury Real Estate and Desert Sky Arabians for their generosity and passion to help us raise awareness of heart health and aide the American Heart Association in their efforts to eradicate heart disease,” said Phoenix Heart Ball Chairman Charlene Berge-Blum.
Barrett Jackson Charities sponsored the stallion named Ransom, which was designed by artist Niki Woehler and is on display in front of Neiman Marcus at Scottsdale Fashion Square. In addition, there is Lee Courtney Luxury Real Estate that sponsored Ssequin II, an Arabian horse that was designed by artist Tina Hillstrom. And, finally Desert Sky Arabians sponsored Stardom Sky, another Arabian horse designed by artist Wendy Morris Tank.
