Royse Contemporary will present “UNTITLED,” a solo exhibition by artist Gennaro Garcia.
The exhibition will feature a selection of Garcia’s recent work across multiple media, including paintings, monosilk prints, giclée works and sculpture, according to a press release.
Mr. Garcia’s work integrates vibrant color influences from his childhood in Mexico with techniques that incorporate both traditional and contemporary practices.
“Gennaro strives to create art in every technique, style, color, and texture—always evolving within his art,” said Nicole Royse, curator and founder of Royse Contemporary.
The exhibition centers on Garcia’s cultural perspective as a Mexican American artist, with subject matter informed by personal history and identity.
“Art sets me free and allows me to share my passion,” Mr. Garcia said.
Originally from San Luis, Sonora, Mexico, Mr. Garcia relocated to Arizona in his early 20s. His work is now represented in galleries and private collections across the United States and Mexico. He has received honors including the Masters of the Southwest Award and the Hispanic Heritage Award.
In addition to his studio practice, Mr. Garcia has contributed visual design work for restaurants and hospitality projects. He is also a co-owner of Taco Chelo, with locations in downtown Phoenix and Tempe.
The exhibition will remain on view through May 24, 2026. Royse Contemporary is located at 7077 E. Main St., Suite 6, in the Scottsdale Arts District in Scottsdale.
