Rio Verde Foothills: Superior Court makes ruling in city of Scottsdale’s favor

1st round of rulings go against Rio Verde Foothills temporary stay pursuit

In the first ruling of the litigation brought against the city of Scottsdale by some residents of Rio Verde Foothills, Maricopa County Superior Court ruled in the city’s favor, denying the requested temporary relief against the city.

Additional arguments brought against the city of Scottsdale have yet to be adjudicated, according to Scottsdale Public Affairs Director Kelly Corsette.

City leaders say they remain confident in the municipality’s legal position and continues to encourage Maricopa County — the elected local government for the residents of Rio Verde Foothills — to implement a solution on behalf of their constituents.
