Christian Price, president and CEO of Maricopa Economic Development Alliance, earned an AZED Pro designation from The Academy of Arizona, the formal education program of the Arizona Association for Economic Development.
To earn an AZED Pro certification, economic development professionals must complete seven courses including:
- Economic Development in Arizona;
- Business Retention and Expansion;
- Taxation, Finance, and Incentives;
- Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development;
- Marketing and Business Development;
- Workforce Development; and
- an Elective.
This formal education program ensures Arizona’s economic development professionals receive the most current and relevant training in topics pertaining to the practice of economic development.
Mr. Price earned the designation earlier in the year and was recognized for this accomplishment alongside eight other economic development professionals at the 2022 AAED Fall Forum held last month at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino.
“I have been involved with economic development and the growth of the city of Maricopa for nearly 20 years,” said Mr. Price in a prepared statement. “Earning this designation alongside other economic development professionals is indeed a milestone accomplishment giving me the additional tools and resources to continue to advance MEDA’s mission.”
