Glendale author Minu Cash is releasing a memoir titled, ‘The Painted Pink Dress: My Mother, Her Secret, and Me,’ which is set to be published by Sandra Jonas Publishing in early summer of 2024.
From an early age, Ms. Cash experienced a sense of otherness within her family. All while wrestling with her identity, she endured her father’s aggression, her mother’s negligence, and the constant desire to escape the drug-infested town of Cashion, Ariz.
“I invite readers to join me on a journey of identity and love and a pursuit to find truth,” Ms. Cash said in a prepared statement.
“Navigating through the depths of my thoughts, emotions, and memories has been a tremendous endeavor. Yet it has granted me an understanding, acceptance, and, above all, inner peace. By sharing my personal story with the world, I hope to encourage readers to embrace who they are and find the beauty and solace in their own journey.”
Ms. Cash is a Hispanic American living in Glendale, which is just north of her childhood neighborhood. She is a member of the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers.
