The Digital Free Press is hosting a debate among Scottsdale City Council candidates ‘High Noon’ Tuesday, Sept. 26, at City Hall, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
The focus of the Digital Free Press is journalism, where journalists are not advocates of issues, purveyors of right or wrong but rather a company focused on seeking the truth no matter the outcome. The Digital Free Press reports the Community Updates.
The ‘High Noon’ Scottsdale City Council debate will be moderated by Terrance Thornton, founder of the Digital Free Press.
“This debate — and it will be a debate with critical questions and opportunities for candidate retorts — presents an opportune moment for voters to engage with the candidates and form informed decisions regarding their votes in the forthcoming general election,” Mr. Thornton said in a prepared statement.
“We are committed to offering an impartial forum for the candidates to express their perspectives and plans for Scottsdale’s future.”
The debate is a scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 featuring four (4) candidates for Scottsdale City Council seeking two (2) seats:
- Tammy Caputi
- Tom Durham
- Adam Kwasman
- Maryann McAllen
Of Note: Jan Dubauskas was elected outright at the primary and will take office in January 2025.
