The floor-to-ceiling wine cellar at Cuisine & Wine Bistro is one of the most extensive in the Valley and the selection of wines curated by Sommelier Killian Buschtetz earned the eatery its third consecutive Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine.
“This is an exceptional honor,” says Mairead Buschtetz, who co-owns the restaurant with her husband, Executive Chef Fabrice Buschtetz. “This puts us among some of the very best dining establishments in the Valley.”
Other 2023 winners include Bourbon Steak at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Café Monarch, Geordie’s at the Wrigley Mansion, Lon’s at the Hermosa, Tarbell’s, The Capital Grille, and Beckett’s Table.
Cuisine & Wine Bistro and Prime, a Shula’s Steakhouse at Wild Horse Pass Resort and Casino, were the only two Chandler restaurants to achieve the honor.
According to Wine Spectator, the Award of Excellence goes to restaurants “whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.” Restaurants must present complete wine lists with no errors to win the awards.
Cuisine & Wine Bistro’s extensive list includes more than 200 wines, carefully selected by Killian Buschtetz. The restaurant offers personalized pairings for every dish on the menu.
“We take pride in offering guests an all-encompassing culinary experience,” Mr. Buschtetz said. “That includes finding the very best selections to go with the menu my father crafts as executive chef.”
Wine Spectator will publish the full list of award winners in the magazine’s Aug. 31 edition.
