With more than 130 applications and $2.3 million worth of funds requested, Lerner & Rowe Gives Back awarded 21 local organizations in the public safety, health and human services, youth and animal welfare sectors with funding from $5,000 to $50,000, representatives of the brand tell the Digital Free Press.
Recipients awarded during the 2024 season include Valleywise Health Foundation, Heart for the City, Chrysalis Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence, Legacy Connection, Foster Arizona, Vista College Preparatory, Be Kind People Project, Dignity Health Foundation East Valley, Central Arizona Shelter Services, Pass it On, Phoenix Rescue Mission, Ryan House, Maggie’s Place, Hunkapi Programs, BloomKidz, Harvest Compassion Center, Center for the Rights of Abused Children, Control Alt Delete, Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center, Ability360 and Copper Rain Foundation.
“As we announce the 2024 grant recipients, we reflect on our mission at Lerner & Rowe Gives Back,” said Kevin Rowe, founder of Lerner & Rowe Injury Attorneys and Lerner & Rowe Gives Back. “These grants signify a dedication to uplifting the communities we serve. By empowering local nonprofits, we hope to foster a brighter future for Arizona. Giving back is a privilege — one we embrace wholeheartedly as we continue to support local causes and initiatives.”
Phillip Scharf, interim CEO at CASS, echoed a similar sentiment.
“Lerner & Rowe’s continued investment in CASS and our entire community’s success is a prime example of the great things that we can accomplish only in collaboration,” he said. “With this gift, we are able to ensure that the children and families staying in our care are provided with the same opportunities and experiences as other families in the Valley.”
The 2025 grant cycle will open to applicants in January and will allow Arizona 501(c)(3) organizations to apply via the form on the Lerner & Rowe Gives Back website.
