Avondale Toyota has completed a 56,000-square-foot expansion of its service center, increasing the dealership’s service bays from 36 to 70.

The $15 million project more than doubles the facility’s daily service capacity, increasing appointments from 210 to 410 per day. Staffing has grown by approximately 35% to support increased demand at the service center, according to a press release.

“As a local independent business in the West Valley, we are excited to be expanding our service center to allow for not only more available appointments but also a faster experience,” Avondale Toyota General Manager Alex Cosenza said. “Our team prides itself in listening to customer feedback, and we believe that this additional space in the service center will benefit our community for years to come.”

The facility includes 70 service bays dedicated to oil changes, tire and brake service, maintenance, accessories installation and vehicle repairs. The service center also is equipped to work on hybrid and electric vehicles, with specialized lifts and tools to support growing EV adoption in Arizona.

The expansion included the addition of shop equipment, including jacks, jack stands and pole jacks, as well as a new break room, restrooms and lockers for service employees. Construction was completed in approximately 18 months.

Avondale Toyota has added employees to support the expanded operation. New parts team members help deliver parts directly to technicians, while additional main shop, lube line and tire technicians, support staff and service advisors have been hired to accommodate increased service capacity.

“Our shop has always been focused on efficiency, quality, and taking care of our customers the right way,” Shop Foreman Scott Johnson said. “With this expansion, we now have the space, equipment, and support staff to keep our technicians focused on what they do best, working on vehicles, while improving turnaround times and increasing the number of customers we can serve each day.”
