Blue Zones Project Scottsdale has launched the Volunteer Zone — a new online platform designed to connect individuals with volunteer opportunities that align with their interests, skills, and availability — making it easier than ever to give back to the Scottsdale community.
The Volunteer Zone will serve as an independent hub where nonprofits, schools, civic groups, and other organizations can post and promote volunteer opportunities, according to a press release.
From one-time events to ongoing roles, the platform aims to be a one-stop destination for residents looking to make a positive impact through service, the release states.
“Creating stronger social connections and a sense of purpose are two key elements of a longer, healthier life,” said Maureen Aldrich, engagement & marketing lead at Blue Zones Project Scottsdale. “The Volunteer Zone helps make both more accessible by making it easier for residents and employees to find the right fit—and for organizations to extend their reach.”
By making it simple for organizations to list their needs, and equally simple for volunteers to search by interest, age group, skillset, or time commitment, Volunteer Zone will strengthen Scottsdale’s community fabric and support the broader Blue Zones goal of improving well-being across the region.
Blue Zones Project encourages all local nonprofits, schools, and community groups to sign up and begin listing opportunities. The site is open to all and does not require any affiliation with Blue Zones Project to participate.
