Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, an inspiring true story of one woman’s remarkable journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, featuring hit songs you will remember, and a story you will never forget, is on stage at Arizona Broadway Theatre through June 5.

As one of the most celebrated and iconic singer/songwriters of all time, Ms. King has had 118 songs on Billboard’s Top 100 list over the last 60 years and her solo album, Tapestry, held the record for longest-charting album by a female solo artist in the U.S. for more than 40 years.

The stage production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical follows her remarkable rise to stardom, from her partnership in a hit songwriting team with husband Gerry Goffin to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends, Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful and celebrated solo acts in popular music history.

“Carole King is an icon and a legend, and this production follows her life from the string of pop classics she wrote for the biggest acts in music to her own life-changing, chart-busting success with Tapestry,” said Kurtis Overby, artistic director at Arizona Broadway Theatre.

“Beautiful takes audiences on a nostalgic ride with some of the most memorable and impactful songs in American history,” he added. “I think audiences will be surprised to learn how many of their favorite songs from the 1960s, 70s and 80s were actually written by Carole King.”
