The Town of Fountain Hills is announcing its Thanksgiving celebration schedule.
Residents and visitors from across the Valley can join in the 34th annual Turkey Trot 5K Run and Fitness Walk, the 40th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, and a special Thanksgiving dinner at ADERO’s signature restaurant, Cielo, for those who prefer not to cook.
These events take place on Thanksgiving, which is Thursday, Nov. 28.
The day will begin with the 34th annual Turkey Trot 5K Run and Fitness Walk, hosted by Fountain Hills Community Services.
This beloved event will take participants on a voyage around the iconic, world-famous fountain, nestled in the picturesque Fountain Park.
For those looking for a more leisurely experience, the option to participate in a refreshing one-mile fitness walk is available for all. Pre-registration is required and includes a traditional long sleeve T-shirt, serving as a cherished memento of this memorable event. Those interested can register at Turkey Trot 5K & Fitness Walk.
Next up on the schedule is the 2024 Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
The annual event will celebrate its 40th year with a throwback to 1984. A local favorite, the parade attracts spectators from across the state and begins at 9:30 a.m., lasting about an hour. Enjoy floats, marching bands, animal groups, dance routines, motorcycle shows, and more. Santa Claus will make his first holiday appearance as the grand finale on the Avenue of the Fountains.
