Officials at Westworld of Scottsdale are reporting the expansion of breeds to run at the local cowboy grounds through partnership with the Arizona Quarter Horse Association.

Scottsdale City Council, through its May 17 consent agenda, approved the expansion of principal terms a part of the AZ Sun Country Circuit Quarter Horse Show, which has been a Scottsdale staple since 1988.

Emboldened through resolution No. 12478, approving contract No. 2017-002-COS-A1, which amends the original contraction between the municipality and the Quarter Horse Association, was approved unanimously by City Council.

Officials at Westworld of Scottsdale report the Sun Country Circuit is the longest running western event at the local event grounds and is one of the largest horse circuits in the nation.

The original contract, 2017-002-COS between municipal entities and the Quarter Horse Association results in the production, in parts, of the Parada del Sol Rodeo and both a professional rodeo cowboys and fall championship show.

Westworld of Scottsdale officials report approval of the May 17 consent agenda item allows the Sun Country Circuit to grow the diverse kinds of races, shows and events to be held in Scottsdale.
