Firebird Motorsports Park is inviting racers and spectators to participate in its Midnight Madness events 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26 and Saturday, Aug. 23.

This event offers opportunities for everyone, from spectators to drag racers. Drivers are encouraged to bring their car or truck to test their skills by racing on the dedicated 1/4-mile NHRA drag strip, which is the same fully-prepped track that racing legends like John Force and Tony Stewart have competed on.

“Since we are in the heat of the summer, it’s important to provide racers with the ability to still practice in a safe environment,” said Casey Buckman, track manager for Firebird Motorsports Park. “We have the track open late to provide a unique opportunity for motorsport lovers to race and connect with other car enthusiasts.”

If you go:

•Enter through Gate 3 – Opens 7:30pm; Track hot 8:30 p.m. to midnight

•Park in the Upper Pit Area – Before the Tech Inspection Area

•Crew members pay general admission fees

•Listen for announcements over the PA

•Cars with street tires line up in staging lanes 2-4 and cars with slicks line up in Lane 5

•Lane 1 is junior street and motorcycles
