Ballet Arizona’s annual Dance With Me Gala returns this week to honor its board members, patrons, staff and charitable donors who continuously show unwavering support toward Ballet Arizona.
The highly anticipated event will take place on Friday, Feb. 7, at the Scottsdale Center for The Performing Arts and will honor Mary and Jeff Ehret for their decades of philanthropy with Ballet Arizona and their dedication toward keeping the art of ballet alive. The gala will be chaired by Stephen Hardy and guests are encouraged to dress in formal and festive styles.
This year’s theme is “In Every Hue, Dance Unites,” inspired by Ballet Arizona’s upcoming spring production, Frida. Guests can revel in an exclusive sneak peak of Frida before its U.S. premiere on Feb. 13, at Symphony Hall. Frida is a biographical ballet depicting legendary painter, Frida Kahlo’s life, featuring choreography by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and a score by Peter Salem.
“It is an honor to be chairing this year’s Dance With Me Gala,” said Mr. Hardy. “Mary and Jeff Ehret’s dedication to the arts is a true inspiration and we are proud to recognize their years of continued support to Ballet Arizona. On behalf of Ballet Arizona, we are excited to celebrate our first gala with our new Artistic Director Daniela Cardim.”
All proceeds from the event support Ballet Arizona’s performance season as well as its education and community engagement programs. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by the special performance from Ballet Arizona dancers. Following dinner, guests can take the dance floor with the professional dancers for the remainder of the evening. Tickets for this festive night begin at $600 and table sponsorships begin at $6,000.
