Scottsdale residents Michelle Keoghan and Suzanne Theune have put their ‘Friends’ knowledge to the test — and claim victory — in Max’s newest game show, “Fast Friends.”
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the hit show’s premiere on Sept. 22, 1994, ‘Fast Friends’ is giving pairs of fans the chance to prove how much of superfans they are.
The four-episode special premiered Dec. 19 on Max and new episodes will debut weekly through Jan. 9. Team The Rachel, featuring best friends and salon owners Michelle and Suzanne, are taking the lead as the round one winner headed straight to the finale, set to air on Jan. 9.
Hosted by comedian, Whitney Cummings, ‘Fast Friends’ challenges fans to relive iconic moments from ‘Friends,’ race through the show’s sets and compete in trivia and puzzles to become the ultimate ‘Friends’ fan. Filmed at The “’Friends’ Experience: The One in New York City,” Team The Rachel raced through the iconic sets in a fast-paced competition.
“Suzanne and I are straight up ‘90s girls and we grew up living and breathing this show like it was our real lives,” Ms. Keoghan said in a prepared statement. “I had always wanted to be on a game show and when we heard about ‘Fast Friends,’ we knew we had to sign up. We really related to the show’s arc and say ‘Friends’ was our blueprint in the ‘90s.”
Suzanne and Michelle met nine years ago while working at a salon.
After a while, the duo decided to take the risk and open their own salon because they were feeling stifled and never looked back. The best-friend duo have been business owners ever since and now love to support fellow hairstylists and new entrepreneurs.
