OneAZ Credit Union has broken ground on new branches in Peoria and Surprise, marking a milestone in the organization’s statewide expansion.
The branches, designed in partnership with NewGround International, will serve as community hubs offering spaces for connection and learning beyond traditional banking, according to a press release.
“Breaking ground on these new branches represents more than growth; it’s a commitment to the future of our members and the communities we serve,” said Mike Boden, interim CEO of OneAZ Credit Union. “We’re investing in spaces that are welcoming, innovative and designed to empower financial success,” Mr. Boden said.
“These branches are designed to be true community hubs, where people can come together not only for financial services, but also for learning, collaboration and connection,” said Laura Worzella, chief operating officer of OneAZ Credit Union. “Banking should go beyond transactions; it should help members grow personally and professionally.”
Key features of the new branch concept include:
Modern design created with NewGround International, blending architecture with community-focused elements.
Spaces for meetings, collaboration and access to resources beyond banking.
Personalized services supporting financial wellness and stronger community ties.
Construction is underway, and OneAZ Credit Union plans to welcome members into these new spaces designed to foster connection and growth.
