Scottsdale Unified School District will host its second annual Education Expo from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Saguaro High School, 6250 N. 82nd St. in Scottsdale. The event invites families to explore the district’s schools, programs and services.

Representatives from every SUSD school will be available to share information and answer questions for families considering educational options. Arizona’s open enrollment policy allows families to explore schools beyond their neighborhood boundaries to find the best fit for their student’s needs and interests.

Information sessions held in nearby classrooms will highlight specialized programs unique to individual schools, including Chaparral High School’s culinary arts program, drone coding at Tonalea Middle School, dual language immersion programs, and the new Fire Science Academy at Coronado High School.

The Expo will also showcase several of SUSD’s academic pathways, such as:

•International Baccalaureate at Anasazi Elementary, Mountainside Middle and Desert Mountain High School
•AVID college and career readiness at Tavan Elementary, Echo Canyon K-8, Ingleside Middle and Arcadia High School
•Scottsdale Math & Science Academy, now offered at Mohave Middle School and Saguaro High School, with a STEM-focused curriculum
•District staff from departments including Career and Technical Education, Special Education, Teaching and Learning, Athletics, Nutrition Services and Native American Education will be available to provide resources and answer questions about enrollment, academic support, gifted programs, transportation and extracurricular activities.

Scottsdale Unified is rated an “A” district by the Arizona State Board of Education.

“Our goal is to empower families with the information they need to make the best choices for their children’s education,” said Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel. “The Education Expo is an opportunity to explore everything SUSD has to offer—our schools, programs and support services—all in one place. It’s about helping families feel informed, supported and confident in their decision to join our community.”
