Act One, an Arizona-based charity organization that provides free access to arts and culture experiences to students attending Title I schools and their families, has signed a five-year agreement to be part of the BHHS Legacy Place III office space, 326 E. Coronado Road.

“The amenities and culture of our new office space are incredible, thanks to the BHHS Legacy Foundation,” said Dr. Beth Maloney, executive director of Act One. “Being on this campus with many other nonprofit organizations who share our vision and serve similar populations will help foster Act One’s mission and grow our outreach in the community.”

According to Dr. Maloney, there are significant benefits of being in the BHHS Legacy Place III including, clean and spacious offices, covered parking spaces for the Act One virtual reality vans, secure and climate-controlled storage for the organization’s virtual reality headsets, on-premises security, a shared courtyard and meeting room space for larger events.

The new Act One space measures 1,379 square feet and features five offices plus a lobby/conference room, a hospitality area and an air-conditioned storage area.

“The BHHS Legacy Foundation has ambitiously set out to fill the building with charities they believe in and they’re offering the spaces at rates that are more attainable for nonprofit organizations,” Dr. Maloney said.

“This move represents a way for us to step into an exciting new chapter and the facility and location better reflect who we are and who we serve. It is a real win for Act One to be affiliated with the BHHS Legacy Foundation on this level and we cannot wait to see how the partnership benefits our community.”

In addition to Act One, other charity organizations currently located in the BHHS Legacy Place III are Aunt Rita’s Foundation, Arizona Educational Foundation, Live and Learn AZ and Helping Hands for Freedom. At over 22,000 square feet total, the Legacy Place III building is the largest nonprofit hub in Central Phoenix.

“Even in the most challenging times for both the arts and education, Act One continues to stand strong for Arizona’s students and families,” added Dr. Maloney.

“With this new office space, which suits our needs much better than our previous location, we are able to demonstrate our continued commitment to Arizona’s underserved populations through our primary goal of expanding access to arts and cultural experiences as we embark on our 14th season of field trips.”
