The Saguaros have announced the details of the upcoming 2023 “Olympiad” fundraising event, which is now in its 24th year.

The Olympic-style competition is comprised of a variety of lawn games involving teams of residential and commercial real estate professionals will take place on Friday, April 14, at Scottsdale Stadium, according to a press release.

For the second year, the Olympiad will include a general admission beer garden where the public is invited to enjoy the event. A $100 general admission ticket provides entry to the event, food and drink all day, music, and a spectator area to view the “Olympiad” competitors, the release states.

Additionally, for the second year in a row, The Saguaros will also host a gala, Cards 4 Kids, in an effort to provide ABC and BFK teams with additional opportunities to raise funds for charity. All proceeds benefit The Saguaros Children’s Charities Foundation.

The Olympiad includes the Agents Benefiting Children (ABC) division and Brokers for Kids (BFK) division.

The ABC division includes teams of residential real estate professionals, and the BFK division includes teams of commercial real estate professionals. Teams from each division compete against each other from January through April by selling sponsorships items for the culminating event on April 14.

The highest fundraising team from each division receives either the “Captain’s Cup” (ABC) or the “Broker’s Cup” (BFK). As a celebration of their efforts, teams get to participate in games including dodgeball, cornhole, pop-a-shot, and trash can pong with the victor taking home the Saguaros Cup.

Last year’s Olympiad drew over 700 participants and raised nearly $1 million for children’s charities, including Boys Hope Girls Hope, The Care Fund, and Harvest Compassion Center, representatives of the effort report.

This year, 96 teams are expected to participate (48 in ABC; 48 in BFK), and The Saguaros hope to reach over $1 million in funds raised for the Saguaros Children’s Charities Foundation.

Those interested in signing up for a team or sponsoring the event should email Jonah Joffe at jjoffe@saguaros.com for the ABC (residential real estate) division and Sean Doyle at sdoyle@saguaros.com for the BFK (commercial real estate) division.
