Scottsdale Fourth of July features live entertainment fun for the whole gang

City leaders are gearing up for the Scottsdale Fourth of July Celebration at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road, which is set to commence from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, with one of the largest fireworks display in Arizona.
This year’s event aims to be zero waste — knives, forks and paper and food waste will be composted through a partnership with Recycled City, according to a press release.
The Copper State Rodeo Company is hosting a bull-riding rodeo, along with the adorable mutton-busting event for kids.
Aspiring knights will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of chivalry and adventure with Medieval Times Jr. Knight training.
For those with an appetite for competition, the Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers Summer Slider Eating Contest Championship will take place on the main stage. Fourteen finalists will go head-to-head, devouring sliders at lightning speed for a chance to win the grand prize, event promoters say.
Be enchanted by beloved Disney characters making special appearances, watch live circus performances and take part in family-friendly games and enjoy backyard BBQ by M. Culinary.

The evening features the presentation of colors and the singing of the National Anthem, honoring the spirit of patriotism as the Parade of Heroes will honor outstanding leaders in six categories, recognizing their contributions to the community.
