notMYkid held the Power of Love gala on April 12 at the Arizona Biltmore, bringing together local leaders, organizations and members of the community to support prevention, education and behavioral health measures for Arizona youth.
The evening raised over $800,000 to benefit youth and families through notMYkid programs and services, according to a press release.
“We’re so appreciative of the generous support that we received from our partners, members, volunteers and the community as we came together to celebrate the positive changes we are making in the community,” said Kristen Polin, notMYkid CEO, in a prepared statement. “Together, we are inspiring our youth to build resilience and we are saving lives as we navigate solutions to the ongoing youth mental health crisis and opioid epidemic.”
notMykid representatives tell the Digital Free Press the funds raised will support critical programs such as trauma-informed education prevention for youth and their caregivers, life skills training, peer-to-peer support, individual and family counseling, and intensive outpatient services.
This year, notMYkid honored Fiesta Bowl Charities, who recently committed $100,000 to build an activity center on the well-being campus. The event was co-chaired by Kelley Carter and Jade Izzett.
