One Step Beyond is actively seeking nominations for their annual HUG Awards.
The organization, a leading provider of comprehensive programming and services for adults who have intellectual disabilities, is asking Valley residents to nominate individuals who have made a positive impact on the lives of people with intellectual disability in our community.
Nominations are accepted via the One Step Beyond website HERE through Sept. 1, 2023. Winners will be selected based on evidence of unwavering compassion, dedication and commitment to our mission.
HUG Award nominees and winners will be celebrated at the One Step Beyond 20th Anniversary and Help Us Grow Gala being held at The Duce from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The nomination committee will select six individuals based on the responses provided in the nominations.
“The HUG Awards recognize and celebrate the individuals and businesses who have made a profound impact on individuals who have intellectual disabilities,” said One Step Beyond CEO Madison Blanton in a prepared statement.
“We are calling on the community to nominate and honor the extraordinary efforts of the Valley’s unsung heroes by shining a light on the difference they make every day. Our hope is that these nominations are a spark that ignites a beacon of hope, inspiring others to embrace inclusivity and celebrate the power of kindness.”
