In a time when grief can feel most overwhelming, Mountain View Funeral Home is hosting its annual Easter Sunday Sunrise Service in collaboration with Broadway Christian Church.
This year’s service is scheduled for 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 20 and promises to offer a quiet space for reflection, remembrance, and renewal, welcoming all members of the community, representatives of the event tell the Digital Free Press.
“As we move through the holidays, grief can often feel like an invisible weight, and Easter is no exception,” said Elisa Krcilek, VP at Mountain View Funeral Home. “This Sunrise Service is not just about coming together—it’s a chance to embrace the light after the darkness, to honor our loved ones, and to lean into the support of a compassionate community. It’s about finding peace in a moment of shared reflection, knowing you’re not alone in your sorrow.”
By offering these opportunities for connection and healing, Mountain View continues to provide a sanctuary for those navigating life’s most difficult moments.
“On Easter Sunday, we celebrate Jesus making a way for us to be with Him in eternity,” said John Klundt, lead pastor at Broadway Christian Church. “Because of His death, burial, and resurrection, we have hope!”
The Easter Sunrise Service is free and open to the public, regardless of faith.
