Dunn Construction and Hatteras Sky have a reached a major milestone, representatives of the brands say, as its newest development in Phoenix — Saiya — celebrated its official ‘topping out’ last month.
The 23-story apartment high-rise project found at First Avenue and west McKinley Street, broke ground in July 2022. Saiya will feature 389 residential units, 12,550 square feet of street-level retail, and amenity spaces, according to a press release.
Found part of the Roosevelt Row Arts District of downtown Phoenix, Saiya will be perfectly woven into the walkable arts district, nationally known for its arts and cultural events, award-winning restaurants, galleries, boutiques, and live music.
“Saiya will provide Phoenix with a unique combination of extraordinary metropolitan transit accessibility, as well as cultural approachability,” said Oz Friedmann, principal at Hatteras Sky. “We are excited to offer residents immediate access to a vast array of local art, commercial attractions, and existing community spaces.”
Saiya is being delivered by contractor JE Dunn Construction.
“With tower cranes dotting the skyline as Phoenix experiences rapid growth, being a part of the construction of Saiya is a testament to the city’s upward trajectory,” said JE Dunn Senior Project Manager, Heath White. “We are not just creating a building, but a landmark that will contribute to the vibrancy of this thriving urban community.”
