Greater Phoenix Chamber: we support business-friendly candidates

The Greater Phoenix Chamber political action committee has endorsed 33 candidates in local and legislative races prior to the Nov. 8 General Election.
The chamber PAC has supported business-friendly candidates in local and state races for more than four decades, according to a press release.
The Chamber PAC utilizes a board of directors, who conduct a rigorous vetting process to ensure endorsed candidates align with the priorities of the business community. The board consists of 21 members representing the chamber’s diverse membership of small, medium and large businesses.
“The Greater Phoenix Chamber Political Action Committee supports pro-business candidates for state and local offices regardless of political party affiliation,” said Chamber PAC Chair John Moody, in a prepared statement.
“Having business-friendly lawmakers who are willing to collaborate to advance policies that will support a prosperous economy in the Greater Phoenix region, and throughout the state of Arizona, is more important than ever. After a careful assessment and deliberation, we are pleased to endorse candidates who have a solid understanding of issues impacting businesses and the challenges of our current economic and policy climate.”
Greater Phoenix Chamber President and CEO Todd Sanders says endorsements are in tune with the overall mission of the chamber.
“Both the PAC and the endorsement process are critical to our mission of advocating for economic prosperity in Arizona,” he said. “The PAC Board vetted many well-qualified candidates and chose to make election endorsements of those whose policies aligned closest to the chamber’s mission. The candidates we support are focused on Arizona’s economic recovery, job creation, and business retention and expansion. These candidates are truly dedicated to the economic future of Arizona.”
