Greater Phoenix Chamber hosts workforce summit Aug. 30

Phoenix workforce summit brings together experts & educators

The Greater Phoenix Chamber and foundation is bringing together employers and education leaders from across Arizona at the Workforce Summit from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30.

The event will take place at the Desert Willow Conference Center, 4340 E. Cotton Center Blvd, in Phoenix, according to a press release.

This robust program will feature renowned keynote presenters Dr. Gonzales, chancellor, Maricopa Community College District; and John Woods, provost and Chief Academic Officer at the University of Phoenix, along with local experts to discuss workforce trends affecting business, impacting business.

Guests will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions, allowing them to explore specific issues.

The Workforce Summit will include session topics such as:

  • How education is adapting to meet industry needs,
  • Workforce practices for the future,
  • Mental health in the workplace,
  • Diversity, equity & inclusion as a workforce strategy,
  • Utilizing data for talent solutions, and
  • Talent development as an attraction strategy.
