The Arizona Financial Credit Union has been providing financial support to the 100 Club of Arizona since 2018 and most recently provided a $50,000 donation to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering financial assistance and resources to families of fallen and disabled public safety members throughout the Grand Canyon State.
Over the course of five years, Arizona Financial has donated more than $300,000 through its 100 Club of Arizona Visa debit card while also acting as presenting sponsor for their Boots and Badges fundraising gala, which occurred this past April, according to a press release.
Each time an Arizona Financial member makes a purchase with their debit card, the credit union pledges a donation to the 100 Club of Arizona. At the end of each quarter, donations are totaled and presented to the 100 Club, the release states.
“Our support of the 100 Club has always been a point of pride as we are so thankful for our public safety officials and their work to keep our communities safe,” said Amy Hysell, president and CEO of Arizona Financial and a board member of the 100 Club. “Whether it’s financial assistance for families of fallen officers or scholarships for their children, this organization does so much for this group of selfless individuals, and we are pleased that our member-owners have embraced this cause along with us.”
In 2018 Arizona Financial introduced the debit card donation program as an easy way for members to support the 100 Club of Arizona, a long-term credit union partner. The debit card is exclusively available through the credit union and matches the design of the first responder license plate offered by the Arizona Department of Transportation.
“We are so thankful for Arizona Financial’s ongoing support and the impact they make to first responders and their families,” said Angela Harrolle, CEO and President of the 100 Club of Arizona.
“Knowing year in and year out that they, and their members, are behind us and our mission provides great relief to us as an organization, but also to those families of first responders who rely on us for support during very difficult times. This past year we lost 33 public safety members, and the 100 Club was able to support those families along with first responders through other programming totaling $3.4 million in 2022.”
