Municipal leaders at the city of Scottsdale are eyeing an update to the Old Town Scottsdale Character Area Plan as well as certain sections of the local zoning ordinance in and around the Old Town area.
Officials say members at Scottsdale City Council are seeking additional input regarding the pending development core update.
City officials are offering an online, self-guided, open house series in turn offering patrons the chance to give input on topics such as the “Old Town Plan Vision and Values,” quality development, mixed-use development, building height, bonus provisions, and public open space in Old Town.
Each self-guided, online, open house session includes a presentation and questions for participants to answer that are specific to each topic. Go to ScottsdaleAZ.gov, hit keyword “Old Town Updates” to join the community effort.
As the Old Town Plan and Zoning Ordinance updates progress through the public participation and hearing processes, additional participation events will be offered, and draft content will be made available for public review.
