Vestar brings Carli Richards on following a decade in public relations

Vestar has named Carli Richards director of communications.
In her role, Ms. Richards is responsible for leading the company’s corporate and media relations strategy for its portfolio of new and existing properties, while promoting the Vestar brand, officials close to the matter to say.
“I am very excited to bring a creative approach and fresh perspective to Vestar and to apply my experience to a new industry,” Ms. Richards said in a prepared statement. “As a best-in-class developer, I look forward identifying new opportunities for innovation and growth and to ultimately broaden our industry presence with thoughtful and effective storytelling techniques.”
Ms. Richards will also work closely with executive leadership to establish strategic programming that will support as aspects of the brand.
“We are excited to have Carli onboard,” said Rachel Forman, VP of marketing. “Her varied experience working for global retail brands paired with a comprehensive understanding of communications, made her stand out for this role, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
Ms. Richards joins Vestar with more than 10 years of experience in public relations, previously for various fashion brands and agencies, including H&M Group and most recently Fabletics, the active wear company co-founded by Kate Hudson.
Throughout her career, Richards has touched many facets of publicity including corporate communications, talent relations, influencer marketing, event production and philanthropic partnerships. During her time at Fabletics, Ms. Richards rolled out the brand’s retail expansion strategy for more than 75 new store locations, including the Valley of the Sun.
